CCEMTP℠ was designed in response to the growing need for qualified specialists in the area of critical care inter-facility transfer. It helps to prepare paramedics and nurses to serve with competence and confidence in meeting the needs of critical care patients undergoing inter-facility transports. Course Pre-Requisites.
The Center for Emergency Medicine is the only facility licensed in southwestern Pennsylvania to offer CCEMTP! Current Course Offerings: Sunday, March 15-30, 2020. Sunday November 1st-16th, 2020 (click date to register) The CCEMT-P course is designed to prepare paramedics and nurses to function as members of a critical care transport team.
Critical Care Paramedic Course Online. Flight & Critical Care Transport Review Course Online. In critical care transport, it is important that the advanced provider maintain competency and have a baseline of knowledge to care for the critical patients encountered during air and ground transport.
For FP-C, CCP-C, TP-C or CP-C recertification by continuing education, a minimum of 100 approved continuing education (CE) credits must be submitted. For FP-C, CCP-C, TP-C at least 16 CLINICAL hours obtained by completing an approved review class. The list of "Approved Certification Review Courses" listed here do not imply endorsement by the IBSC. Creighton University’s Critical Care Paramedic course will prepare you to deliver outstanding advanced critical care when moving patients from one health care facility to another via ground or air ambulance or when responding directly to the scene of a medical or trauma event.
CCEMTP is an official course through UMBC. Certain institutions have agreements in place to teach CCEMTP as an extension of UMBC. This online course is NOT a CCEMTP course and you will NOT be able to take the CCEMTP exam or obtain the credential upon completing the online course.

The individual should begin with the research necessary to understand the position and its requirements. Those just beginning a career as a paramedic may find that many schools require at least two years prior experience as a paramedic before allowing entrance into the critical care courses.
