Online Course Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) is a self-paced online course designed for those who are new to the industry or have not had formal safety training. The course fee is $65 + GST.

On its own, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals is an interactive nine-module online course that serves as a general construction site orientation for workers new to the construction industry. And, it takes only 2 to 3 hours to complete. The job-specific Add-on Modules allow employers to customize the CSTS training to fit their specific site requirements.

In order to work in industrial construction in Alberta you need to have completed the Construction safety Training System (CSTS-09). This is a mandatory course and is offered online through e-learning platforms. The training is divided into separate modules that can be completed at your own pace, and the full program takes on average five to six hours to complete.
