CTEL ONLINE COURSES
CTEL online courses - CTeL's online training is meaningful, measurable, memorable, motivational and engaging. It is transit-specific and entertains while it educates. All of our courses have been developed through a unique partnership of industry leaders and professional instructional designers to ensure they reflects the daily challenges vehicle operators and transit agency administrators face.
Students must begin the CTEL program with either EDUU 526 or EDUU 570, depending on the schedule of offerings. Once either EDUU 526 or EDUU 570 have been passed, students may proceed freely within the program. Students must receive a grade of B- or higher to progress to subsequent course and maintain an overall 3.0 GPA.
START Online. Safety is our most important responsibility. Through videos, simulations, expert instruction, rich graphics and reinforcing learning exercises, START Onilne, or Safety Training and Rural Transit, demonstrates pre- and post-trip inspections, en route safety, and safely dealing with passengers. It teaches you the basics of safe vehicle operation, including fitness for duty.
The CTEL/CLAD Certificate is a 12-unit program, and takes between 16 and 32 weeks (two and four 8-week terms) to complete, depending on the number of courses taken each term. California Teachers of English Learners (CTEL) Certificate This program is designed for credentialed teachers who wish to acquire the Cross-Cultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate.
Course Summary. California requires teachers of English language learners to pass all three subsets of the California Teacher of English Learners (CTEL) exam. This course prepares for the Subtest 2 - Assessment and Instruction using brief, engaging video lessons, practice quizzes and other study resources.
Apply to the English Learner Authorization (CLAD) Through CTEL or English Learner Authorization (CLAD) Through ELD program. Finalize your admission to the program. Complete all the required online courses with a grade of “C” or better. Coursework must be completed within 5 years of beginning the program.
While widely available, not all courses are available in all locations or in both online and on-campus formats. Please check with a University Enrollment Representative. The course also examines English Language Development (ELD) and Specifically Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE), as well as resources, approaches and methods, listening and speaking, and reading and writing. Certificate Programs Transitional Kindergarten Certificate Transitional Kindergarten is “the first of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate” (Senate Bill 1381, Chapter 705). The programs are usually eight weeks long and consist of four different CTEL/CLAD courses, with each course being worth three credits.
