NYS boating safety course online - The BoatUS Foundation's Online Course is the only FREE Online Boating Safety Course approved by the New York state mandatory education requirement for boaters born on or after 5/1/1996 as well as all PWC operators who are required to complete a NASBLA approved boating safety course. Boating safety education certification is not the same thing as a Boating license. The New York State Boating Safety Certificate is proof that you have successfully completed all of the components of an approved boating safety course.
The in-classroom course option is designed as a comprehensive study of boating safety to teach the fundamentals of safe boating operation. The course requires a structured classroom setting and has been approved by the National Association of Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Courses are available throughout the state.
