SBCC online courses - Santa Barbara City College combines comprehensive academic programs and modern facilities on a beautiful seaside campus creating a learning environment unmatched throughout the nation. SBCC online courses offer an excellent opportunity for you to pursue your educational goals at times and locations convenient to you. These courses are offered over the Internet, and in many cases do not require on campus attendance. At Santa Barbara City College, there are 14,646 students including in both undergraduate and graduate schools, with full-time and part-time status. Of that, 5,676 students were attending classes through distance learning (2,353 students are enrolled exclusively and 3,323 are enrolled in some online courses).
Fully Online Programs, Degrees, and Certificates. The following programs have been approved to be taught fully online. IMPORTANT: Please check the Schedule of Classes to confirm course availability and contact the Department Chair for confirmation. To receive an Associate's Degree, you must also complete General Education requirements.
OpenWHO is WHO’s new interactive, web-based, knowledge-transfer platform offering online courses to improve the response to health emergencies. OpenWHO enables the Organization and its key partners to transfer life-saving knowledge to large numbers of frontline responders. Note: The Self-Paced SBCC Training Modules are offline at this time.

A minimum of 18 units of SBCC General Education Requirements (Areas A-D) and Institutional Requirements (Area E) and Information Competency Requirement (Area F) A total of 60 degree-applicable units (SBCC courses numbered 100 and higher). Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in all units attempted at SBCC.
To register online you must have an email account. If the course has a fee, you must use a VISA or MasterCard credit card to complete your transaction. If you do not have a credit card or an email account, you can register in person at the Schott or Wake Campus. The letter L denotes lab courses for which a related lecture course is required in concurrent registration, or as a prerequisite. The letter H is used to designate Honors Program courses. Prerequisites for courses are stated where applicable. A student may not enroll in a course for which they are not eligible.
