Internet classes, like telecourses, limit the number of visits to the college campus. Students enrolling in distance education courses pay regular tuition and fees, have access of all student services, study under the college's rules and regulations, and receive academic credit.

TEAS Prep Series. The TEAS Prep Series will prepare you to sit for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam. TEAS Prep 1 focuses on the Reading and English and Language Usage portions.

Central Virginia Community College, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations. Our programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective web-based learning programs.

Central Virginia Community College, located in Hickory North Carolina, has three schools, School of Academics Education and Fine Arts, School of Business Industry and Technology, School of Health and Public Services, offering over 50 degrees and an average of 2,400 courses a year. CVCC provides an excellent college transfer program that will transfer to many NC universities.

Courses in this program fulfill requirements for the Administration of Justice AAS degree. The Criminal Justice Career Studies Certificate program alone is NOT eligible for financial aid. Interested stduents should consult an academic counselor for further informaion. The Central Virginia Community College 2019-2020 General Catalog (hereby referred to as the “Catalog”) is the official source of the College’s academic programs and courses. The Catalog should be used as a guide, in conjunction with an academic advisor, in planning a program of study and in meeting requirements for graduation.

Central Virginia Community College offers classes in a variety of locations and on-line. Classes are free; however there is a cost for the HSE exam. Please contact the CCR Office, if you are in need of financial assistance for the HSE exam fee and would like to apply for a scholarship.
